A raw piece of obsidian, electroformed in copper. Obsidian is volcanic lava that has cooled down so fast that it becomes a glass like rock, with no crystal structures.
Obsidian has sharp edges, and so does this one, it also has a rough backside, so this piece should not be worn along with delicate fabrics. I have coated the back in clear nail polish to make it a bit more smooth, but it is still quite rough. You can apply another layer if you would like.
This piece has been treated with patina to give it an aged look. The electroforming process is time consuming and includes several steps. Each piece is unique.
