This moon themed pendant is made in polymer clay with a beautiful, marquise shaped labradorite. I like this stone so much I wish I could clone it. It's like a milky light blue, very pretty.
The bail is blackened iron and in the back there's a Hexu stamp. On top of the labradorite is a moon crescent, hand made as well.
The name of this piece comes from a lunar mare, meaning moon ocean, which are the basins on the moon that looks like dark spots. Early astronomers like Galilei misstook them for actual oceans with water in them.
